The FiringWhen a clay figure is fired the minerals in the body start to break down and react with other material. The gases which form need to be removed to avoid defects. Firing conditions determine many of the properties of the fired product. Firing too fast or too slow can lead to undesired result.The Ceramics Club have two certified members to operate the two kilns for the members. |
