Fish  Phishing is a Phraud

Don't be hooked by fraud.

By hijacking the trusted brands of well-known banks, retailers and credit card companies, phishers are able to convince up to 5% of the recipients to respond to fraudulent emails. Phishing attacks are designed to fool recipients into divulging personal financial data such as credit card numbers, passwords, social security numbers, etc.

The Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG)  reports a staggering 4000% increase in the six months between November 2003 and May 2004.  Currently there are attacks from 50 different sources daily.  The sheer numbers of people being targeted mean big payoffs for the swindlers.

How to Avoid Phishing Scams

It is time to pay attention.
